This taxpayer funding will establish five new “AI Adopt” centers across the nation, aimed at assisting businesses in integrating AI into their work practices in a safe and effective manner.
Industry and Science Minister Ed Husic spearheaded the program, emphasizing the importance of helping businesses acquire the necessary skills to harness the power of AI. The centers, worth between $3 million (US$2 million) and $5 million (US$3.3 million) each, will offer specialized training to enterprises, enabling them to develop the skills needed to manage AI effectively. Minister Husic stated, “Harnessing the power of AI will enhance productivity, helping to crack one of the biggest challenges facing Australia.”
Once operational, these centers will provide businesses with valuable advice on seamlessly incorporating AI into their existing systems. What’s more, the services provided by these centers will be completely free of charge.
