Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy Signs MoUs

The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy has taken a significant step towards enhancing the emirate’s digital ecosystem by signing four Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs). The agreements, inked with Mastercard, RemotePass, Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance, and Silkhaus, were announced during the Dubai Business Forum, a premier global gathering of businesses and investors.

The MoU with Mastercard will see the establishment of a co-branded innovation hub in Dubai, leveraging the payment-processing giant’s global expertise. The Innovation Centre, to be developed in collaboration with Mastercard Venture Labs, aims to attract international technology companies, startups, and digital talent to Dubai. It will serve as a platform for cooperation in digital innovation and artificial intelligence technologies, fostering joint opportunities and partnerships with prestigious government entities such as the Dubai Digital Authority, Dubai Future Foundation, and Dubai Chamber of Commerce.

Saeed Al Gergawi, Vice President of the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, commented on the significance of the MoU signings, saying, “The agreements will contribute to achieving our strategic objectives by further enhancing the emirate’s digital ecosystem and consolidating Dubai’s position as the destination of choice for digital companies around the world.”

In addition to Mastercard, three other strategic partners joined the “Business in Dubai” platform of the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy. RemotePass, Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance, and Silkhaus will provide specialized services to digital companies seeking to set up or expand their operations in Dubai. These new additions bring the total number of partners on the platform to 14, demonstrating the chamber’s commitment to creating a business environment that fosters the growth and success of digital companies in line with the Dubai Economic Agenda.

The signing of the MoUs took place at The Deals Hub, a dedicated platform within the Dubai Business Forum for global business leaders and investors to announce significant business initiatives, partnerships, investments, and commercial alliances. This innovative initiative further solidifies Dubai’s position as a leading global city for doing business and reflects the Dubai Chamber’s commitment to driving growth in international trade and investment.

The agreements demonstrate Dubai’s ongoing commitment to becoming a global hub for the digital economy. Through collaboration with industry leaders such as Mastercard and the provision of specialized services for digital companies, Dubai aims to attract and nurture innovation and technological advancements. The city’s advanced digital infrastructure, combined with its favorable business environment and strategic partnerships, make it an attractive destination for businesses seeking to harness the power of the digital economy.

As the digital landscape continues to evolve and shape the global economy, Dubai remains at the forefront of this transformation. Through initiatives like the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy and the “Business in Dubai” platform, the emirate is paving the way for digital companies to thrive and contributing to the realization of Dubai’s vision as a global capital of the digital economy.
