Tech firm EXL is set to create 200 jobs in its new Dublin headquarters, including roles for artificial intelligence specialists and data engineers. The New York-based company is partnering with University College Dublin and the Centre for Applied AI (CeADAR) to address its skills needs. Taoiseach Leo Varadkar expressed his support for the expansion, stating that Ireland is well-positioned to be an innovation hub in this field. EXL, which digitizes major companies in sectors such as insurance, healthcare, banking, media, retail, and finance, employs over 48,000 people across 50 offices worldwide. The company plans to establish additional global centers to enhance management efficiency and reduce costs. EXL’s CEO, Rohit Kapoor, emphasized the importance of working with the talented pool in Dublin to drive technological innovation and propel clients to the forefront of the global AI landscape. Mary Buckley, Executive Director of IDA Ireland, praised the jobs as a means to develop skills in AI, machine learning, and data analytics.
