He shared on X, “We talked about AI for public good; DPI; women-led development; innovation in agriculture, health, and climate adaptation; and how we can take lessons from India to the world.” The Prime Minister also responded on X, saying, “A wonderful meeting indeed! Always a delight to discuss sectors which will make our planet better and empower millions of people across the globe.”

During Gates' visit, he also met with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and the two leaders exchanged books. Jaishankar shared a picture on X of the two of them posing with their respective books and wrote, “A good book exchange with @BillGates. And a great conversation.”

Gates arrived in Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha, before coming to Delhi, where he met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and visited a slum to inquire about the well-being of its residents. Additionally, he is reportedly participating in the pre-wedding events of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Gujarat’s Jamnagar.

This meeting between Prime Minister Modi and Bill Gates highlights the growing significance of AI in various sectors and its potential to drive positive change.
