Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison Group to Integrate NVIDIA Blackwell Platform for AI Empowerment

Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison Group has announced its readiness to integrate the NVIDIA Blackwell platform into its infrastructure, with the aim of empowering Indonesia in the new era of AI-based technological advancement. The adoption of the NVIDIA Blackwell platform will further solidify Indosat’s commitment to driving the use of AI and machine learning in Indonesia, catalyzing innovation, economic growth, and national sovereignty. With the transformative technology of the Blackwell platform, Indosat is poised to bring a wave of innovation in AI cloud services to Indonesia.

Vikram Sinha, President Director and CEO of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, stated, “The integration of the NVIDIA Blackwell products into our infrastructure affirms our commitment to technological progress and national sovereignty. With the Blackwell technology, we are one step closer to our grand goal of empowering Indonesia and leading the change in AI sovereignty, driving innovation, economic growth, and prosperity for future generations.”

Bayu Hanantasena, President Director and CEO of Lintasarta, added, “The addition of the latest technology from NVIDIA to our service portfolio supports our journey to become one of the leading cloud service providers in Indonesia, propelling us to expand our network even further.”

The importance of AI sovereignty is growing for countries aiming to accelerate innovation and enhance productivity. According to Ronnie Vasishta, Senior Vice President Telecom at NVIDIA, “By integrating the Blackwell platform, Indosat is ready to further develop its business and drive the development of Large Language Models that will help empower Indonesia with generative AI.”

Through the integration of the NVIDIA Blackwell platform into its infrastructure, Indosat is empowering its business ecosystem and laying the foundation for Indonesia to become a global leader in AI sovereignty. By leveraging the processing power of the Blackwell NVIDIA platform, Indosat can unlock new opportunities, helping businesses across various industries harness the full potential of AI and machine learning as drivers of productivity, efficiency, and innovation.

Indosat will utilize the NVIDIA Blackwell platform’s GPU Tensor Core to deliver significant acceleration to inference workloads, enabling real-time performance for multitrillion-parameter language models that require massive resources. Additionally, the NVIDIA Tensor Core GPU, including the NVIDIA BlueField-3 DPU, will enable acceleration of cloud networking, composable storage, zero-trust security, and GPU computing elasticity in hyperscale AI clouds.

The NVIDIA Tensor Core GPU, also based on the Blackwell platform, will be available on the NVIDIA DGX Cloud. This AI supercomputing service provides companies with direct access to the infrastructure and software needed to train sophisticated generative AI models.

Indosat initially announced its strategic collaboration with NVIDIA at the Mobile World Congress 2024 last February. Now, Indonesia embarks on a journey towards technological excellence and global competitiveness, with Indosat at the forefront, driving this nation towards a future of innovation, opportunities, and progress. With the NVIDIA Blackwell platform, Indosat is ready to unlock the full potential of AI and machine learning and pave the way for Indonesia to assert itself as a global force in the new era of AI sovereignty.
