Nothing Partners with OpenAI to Integrate ChatGPT into Audio Products

London-based consumer tech brand, Nothing, has announced a partnership with OpenAI to integrate the Artificial Intelligence (AI) chatbot ChatGPT into all of its audio products. After initially announcing the integration for their newly-launched Nothing Ear and Ear (a) products last month, Nothing has now expanded the integration to include all of their other audio offerings. This includes the Ear (1), Ear (stick), Ear (2), CMF Buds, CMF Neckband Pro, and CMF Buds Pro.

The integration will be made available through a Nothing X app update on May 21, which is earlier than the previously announced June rollout. Users will be able to utilize ChatGPT by simply pinch-to-speak to directly engage with the chatbot from their Nothing audio products paired with Nothing phones. This integration aims to enhance the user experience and provide a more seamless interaction.

In addition to the partnership announcement, Nothing also shared their impressive growth in the first quarter of this year. They reported a 144% increase in growth compared to the same period last year. This growth can be attributed to the success of their mid-range model, the Nothing Phone (2a), which has garnered significant attention in the market.

Nothing made waves when it launched its third smartphone, the Phone (2a), in India back in March. The company, founded in 2020, has already sold over 3 million products globally, including the popular Phone (1).

This partnership with OpenAI and the integration of ChatGPT into their audio products shows Nothing’s commitment to enhancing the user experience and staying at the forefront of technology. By seamlessly incorporating AI chatbot capabilities into their products, they aim to provide convenience and functionality to their customers.
