The company has started shipping its liquid-cooled PowerEdge XE9712 systems to CoreWeave, a company that provides computing power for AI applications. These new systems, developed in partnership with tech giant NVIDIA Corp, utilize special cooling technology to handle the intense processing required for advanced AI tasks. The collaboration between Dell Technologies and NVIDIA has resulted in a system that is far more advanced than traditional computers. The system, known as the GB200 NVL72, is made up of 72 powerful processing chips (GPUs) and 36 central computers (CPUs) that work together as a single unit. This allows the system to run AI programs 30 times faster than previous systems, particularly when handling complex AI tasks such as chatbots and image generation. CoreWeave, the recipient of the first shipment of these systems, specializes in providing high-powered computing services to businesses working with AI.
